Remote Areas: Additional fees may apply for deliveries to remote or out-of-the-way locations. Please inquire with our staff for details before shipping.

Liquids: We transport liquids except those containing alcohol or compressed gases, as well as flammable materials. Certain liquids classified as hazardous may require additional MSDS documentation.
Insurance:
Insurance is calculated at 2% of the declared value of the goods or a minimum of 450 baht, with a maximum coverage of 22,500 baht.

Import duties and taxes may be levied on shipments by the destination country. The recipient is responsible for paying these charges. Duty rates vary by country.
The following items are prohibited from shipping with SXD Express due to company policy, Thai laws, and risk management considerations that directly impact the company’s stability:
Live animals
Human remains or cremated remains
Animal parts or hunted animals such as ivory and shark fins, animal by-products, non-food items of animal origin, and items prohibited under CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), or any other treaty or local law.

Cash (legally payable)
Firearms, explosives, or explosive devices
Illegal items such as counterfeit goods, narcotics, and property that violates any federal, state, or local laws or regulations of any country.
Damage Claims
If your shipment is damaged during transit, the recipient must notify DHL at the service center in the destination country within 30 days of receiving the shipment.
The recipient should collect as much evidence as possible regarding the damage, such as:
Photographs of the damaged package
Photographs of the damaged items inside the package
Air waybill number
Date and time of receipt
Complete recipient information
Insurance Coverage
Insurance coverage begins when the shipment is in DHL’s custody and continues until delivery to the recipient. It covers loss or damage that may occur during transit. The insurance amount is calculated based on the weight and declared value of the damaged package at 700 baht per kilogram, up to the declared value on the commercial invoice. If only part of the shipment is damaged, the calculation will be based on the weight of the damaged items.
Customs Issues and Loss
If a shipment does not clear customs or is seized by customs, this is usually due to the shipment containing prohibited items, hazardous materials, or items controlled by the International Air Transport Association, which may not be declared on the commercial invoice. In such cases, DHL cannot be held responsible.
For lost shipments, the recipient must file a claim within 30 days from the date DHL accepts the shipment. Failure to do so will result in the claim being forfeited. Claims are limited to one per shipment. The recipient must provide complete information and supporting documentation, including photographs of the damaged or missing items, for claim processing.
Claim Processing Times
The claim processing time is approximately 10 business days for initial investigation, followed by an additional 14 business days for reimbursement. The overall process may take longer due to the time required for coordination between the origin and destination countries.
